Today we ask the question, does prayer change things? And we prayerfully ask God to give us more confidence to pray, help us make practical commitments to pray and guide us to intentionally engage relationally with him.
Today, as we seek to answer the question, "Does prayer change things?", we are going to do that by asking and answering three further questions:
1. What is prayer?
2. Change? Who wants change?
3. What things does prayer change?
Even when we fail to align our hearts to God, he can still use us, just like he did Jonah. If God can transform an entire nation through a disobedient prophet how much more can He work through a willing heart.
Jonah, although a Prophet of God, did not have the heart of God. He was a disgrace, and his attitude should remind us of the great need people have to hear about the saving grace of Jesus.
