Playtime Routine
9:10am
- Arrive and wash hands prior to entering rooms
- Place handbags out of reach of children
- Set out appropriate toys and activities for that day
- Organise books and craft for story and iPod for songs
- Ensure room looks and feel inviting and organised (warm or cool, fun and colourful…).
- Pray as a team – regularly celebrate what God is doing (i.e. share stories)
9:30am
- Families arrive (welcome them with a smile)
- Ensure parents and children clean hands (provide nursery wipes or Hamilton Wash)
- Collect money and tick off attendance record
- If new to Playtime, collect contact details
- A Welcome Pack is issued to new families once their contact details have been gathered. Inside the pack is an information trifold about Playtime.
- Talk through a few essentials (no food or toys from home, clean hands before entering, handbags up high not on the back of prams…). Please give the reason for these restrictions = keeping other children safe.
10:30am

Pack up toys before moving into the following activities.
- These can be done in any order. Below are two options…
Option 1
- Singing
- Story
- Craft
- Wash hands
- Morning tea (fruit/crackers specified on the list)
- Wash hands
- Final play activity (e.g. picture books, parachute, outdoor games….)
- Farewell song
Option 2
- Story
- Wash hands
- Morning tea (fruit/crackers specified on the list)
- Wash hands
- Craft
- Singing
- Final play activity (e.g. picture books, parachute, outdoor games….)
- Farewell song
11:25am
- All Playtime parents/guardians pack away all equipment
- Ensure room is left better than your team found it
- Team Leader turns off all air conditioners, shuts all windows, internal/external doors, re-alarms building and locks all gates.
