Disturbing Grace

Preached on August 26, 2018
Speaker:
Bible Text: Daniel 4:1-18

Bad things happen to people no matter where you go. Hopes are shattered, dreams are forgotten, plans are undone and sanity is lost. Does God play a part in these crippling events? What God Will Be Able To Rescue You?

Preached on August 19, 2018
Speaker:
Bible Text: Daniel 3:1-30

Before Daniel 3 is about 3 men who survive a fire and live to tell the tale, it's about God. We learn that He is a real God (not a fake God), a God who saves, and a God committed to his glory rather than our comfort.

Death Before Dishonour

Preached on August 12, 2018
Speaker:
Bible Text: Daniel 3

Daniel’s 3 mates are faced with a frightening ultimatum – bow to the King of Babylon, or stand faithful to the King of heaven. As is so often the case for the people of God, standing firm to their convictions came at a cost, and that was the sentence of death. The question we ask in this sermon is the same we ask ourselves, ‘Are these men prepared to stand up for what they believe?’

Faithful in a Foreign Land

Preached on July 29, 2018
Speaker:
Bible Text: Daniel 1

As we begin studying the book of Daniel this term, Al Stewart sets the scene by taking us right into the heart of Babylon. By taking a look at the way Daniel interacts with his foreign rulers, we see how the children of God are to cooperate with a godless world without compromising their values.
